To all the moms out there raising children without their own moms – my heart goes out to you. You’re doing an amazing job and your mom would be so proud of you!

To my girls – you’re my daily inspiration and the reason I continue to strive to leave this world a better place than I found it. I’m so proud of you both and love you so very much. Being your mom is my greatest accomplishment! 

And to my mom – you left this earth way too early and not a day goes by that I don’t miss you. Thank you for your strength and unwavering love (even when I didn’t see it). Thank you for continuing to guide me every day. Though you are no longer here with us, your spirit lives on in this book and through my children. This is for you.
